The end of my vacation

It's time to head back to my regular foster family today.  I must say that I had a nice time on my adventure away.  Here are a few highlights:

I got to share my bed with all of the toys the little boy got under his Christmas tree.  I was very tolerant of it all, because I always had a soft space available to nap.

I got Christmas cookies!  They were yummy, and I was happy to sit for them.

The weather was nice and warm so I got to hang out in the sun.  I really enjoyed the deck here.

And have you seen my cute, little snaggle tooth??  It sticks out a lot...

Merry Christmas everyone!

So, I have really enjoyed this celebration in which we bring a tree inside the house! I sniffed the tree A LOT, then I got pricked by the needles and decided it wasn't THAT interesting after all.

My FoBro and I guarded the house very closely during the holidays as we had many visitors come to the house and drop of packages at the front door - I was eager to meet each and everyone of them!

I'm also great at helping write Christmas cards - I laid near FoMa and gave her lots of cute looks to inspire her with nice messages to write in all the letters.

After resting, I spent more time guarding the tree -  FoPa said someone was going to sneak  in the house during the night and I didn't want anyone to take the great smelling new addition to the house!

Of course, I have a tendency to snuggle up on the sofa beds... I am loving retirement!

Yes, retirement is the best gift for me this Christmas - I hope I can enjoy more special holidays in my forever home with you!  Merry Christmas!

Holiday Vacation

My foster family had to go out of town for the holiday, so I get to take a vacation, too! I just got here last night and I really like the little boy who lives here. We played blocks together. I was very careful not to knock over the wall he built.

It was also a little chilly last night so I got a blanket to snuggle in at bedtime. I was so comfortable, I flipped into a roach! I can't wait to see what today will bring; maybe I will get to meet Santa!

Is it walk time, yet?

I am getting used to the cold here, but it sure is nice to have a warm coat during walks! There is so much to see during walks through the park, and I always stay on the look out for a friendly face to give me some ear-scratching love. I also always keep my ear perked up for a squirrel - they must be special, because FoMa always holds the leash extra tight when I see one!

I have also discovered this great invisibility shield, FoPa calls them curtains:
I think they give me the power of invisibility and I love to hide behind them!

New Tricks!

Hello there! I am learning all types of great things in retirement - I am still loving all the treats and ear scratches I've been getting - I have even learned how to get treats faster: by going down! I can go "down" really fast and then I get to gobble up all the treats before my FoBro knows what is going on - it's great! I hope I can learn more ways to get treats in my forever home!

I have also been getting along great with my FoBro! I would love to have another dog in my forever home - today on my walk, I even met a fluffy animal - FoMa called it a "small dog" & we got along great, too! I couldn't stop sniffing that ball of fur though - I always have so much fun on my walks!
But most of all, I love to cuddle up next to by FoBro, FoPa or FoMa -
I hope to cuddle up with you soon!

Candy Land!

Hello there, I am Candy - my FoMa and FoPa also call me Curious Candy, Princess and Shadow.  I have the tendency to follow my foster parents and foster brother EVERY WHERE and poke my cute nose into EVERY THING!

I am told that I have "transitioned into retirement" - So far, I can say this retirement gig is pretty awesome! FoMa says I am the Princess of Candy Land, which has lots of soft beds, blankets, treats (I LOVE treats!!) and unlimited, free ear scratching, my favorite part of retirement!

White stuff fell on the ground the other day, I went outside to investigate (as always).
FoPa called it snow - it was cold, unedible and I was not a fan.

However, after the snow excursion, I did get to chew on a treat, about which I was very happy!

I am looking forward to finding my very own forever home and setting up a permanent Candy Land - I hope it will be with you!
